Mike Thomas did not play on the his schools squad, Hyde Park, this year but this strapping 6'5 185lb. senior would of easily helped an already good team become even better. Mike, like many, was caught up in transfer hell when he came to this south side school from California. Eligibility concerns due to how many years he attended school out there kept him off the team over here but not off their bench. A constant presence sitting at the end of that bench while proudly sporting navy and white colored sweats was Mike; taking part in huddles, assisting and cheering on teammates and generally lending moral support to the Thunderbirds. Mike's spirit and talent proves that you don't need to be playing to be featured here. That's because he will be playing soon and somewhere, and his game, which features good shotmaking and defensive skills, will speak for itself and hopefully get him the oppurtunity he deserves.
